The state-joint-stock concern of pharmaceutical industry “Uzfarmsanoat” was formed in 1993 by the Decree of the President of Republic of Uzbekistan No UP-609 from June, 2, 1993.
Concern today put effort on:
- The advancing pharmaceutical industry, including 72 enterprises and the organizations, 3 foreign enterprises, 13 joint ventures, and 3 scientific research institutes and one scientific and industrial association.
- Establishing Partner and business relations with pharmaceutical firms of the Great Britain, Germany, Spain, Czech, India, Turkey, Iran, Switzerland, the countries of the CIS;
- Studying a question joint cooperation with the companies of Singapore, Poland and Korea;
- Real investments in pharmaceutical industry of Uzbekistan;
- Growing annual volumes of manufacture;
- establishing the industrial and scientific base, providing manufacture up-to-date;
- Mass production of medical products as tablets, capsules, injections, infusion solutions, tinctures, extracts, syrups, balms, vaccines, whey, preparations normoflore;

The basic directions of activity and development of branch:
- Creation new and modernization of working industrial enterprises for release of pharmaceutical production and products of medical purpose;

The scientific divisions contributed significantly in development of a pharmaceutical industry of Uzbekistan. In structure SJSC “Uzfarmsanoat”, scientifically research 3 institutes (ISRCPU, ISRVW, scientific research institute East medicine ”) are function where 6 doctors of sciences, 25 candidates, more than 100 scientific employees who conduct search and development of industrial “know-how” of preparations on the basis of chemical synthesis, use of local vegetative, mineral, biological raw material and their introduction in manufacture, are working.
At annually spent fairs of innovational ideas, technologies and projects active participation is accepted by branch institutes and the enterprises of concern, profile academic scientific research institutes.
Results of the completed contracts made at 1,2 and 3 Fairs of innovational ideas, technologies and projects:
On 1-st fair (April, 30 May, 2008) 4 contracts (ICSH - “Radiks”, IBOC - joint venture “NovaFarmlplus ”) are realized on delivery of 3 medicinal substances (phenasal, alluminin) and 1 of herbs (fruits of a hawthorn) (SRIEM - SPP Radiks”) for the 12,4 million sums. The batch production of tablets Phenasal, a solution Lagodena and tinctures of a hawthorn is approved. It is a projects for ready medical products in quantity of 1 516,1 thousand con. units for the sum 1085,36 mil. sums.
On 2-nd fair (28 - April, 30, 2009) 2 contracts (ICSH-SIE “Radiks”) are realized, on delivery of 3 of medicinal substances for the 289,325miliion sums/ The batch production of tablets albethola, a solution radalina is approved. It is project for ready medical products in quantity 81,8 thousand con. units for the sum 641,8 million sums.
On 3 fair (March, 1-3-2010 г) 1 contract (ICSH-SIE “Radiks”) are realized on delivery of a substance selAgripa for the 50,0 million sums is realized. The batch production of tablets selAgrip is approved and issued in quantity 120,1 thousand con. units for the of 311,4 million sums.
As a whole under the completed contracts it is made 1718 thousand con. units Production for the sum 2 038,56 million sums.
On the April 13-15, 2011, it was carried out fourth Fair of innovational ideas, technologies and projects during which 6 reports of intentions for the sum one million sums were made in NEH “UzexpoSentr”. Supply of medemin for the 62,797 million sums by ICSH-SIE “Radiks”, supply of selAgripp for the 60 million sums by ISRCPU, supply of Kardiospas for the 2,4 million sums by AP “Alias Pharm” and the agreement of delivery of herbs Ziziphora and Capselle bursa partoris for the 2,4 million sums.
970 medical products on 94 pharmatherapy groups on more than 20 medicinal forms were registered by the domestic enterprises in Republic of Uzbekistan on January first, 2011.
In order to perform the Decree of the President of Republic of Uzbekistan No UP-3937 from 12.11.2007 and Decisions of the Cabinet of Republic of Uzbekistan from April, 16, 2010 No 72, enterprises SJSC “Uzfarmsanoat” have actively participated at the International industrial exhibition and the Cooperation stock exchange in October, 2010. It was signed and registered 20 contracts on a total sum 5479,43 million sums. (growth rate of 154,8 %), meanwhile export contracts for the sum 935,0 thousand USA dollar are registered. (growth rate of 126,7 %).
The production of the 17 new medical preparations of 6 enterprises was planned during first half year of 2011. 18 new medical preparations of 12 enterprises( SE “Dentafill Plus”-8, SIE “Radiks”-3, APA “Nika Pharm”-3, FC “ NobelPharmsaoat”-3, VJ “Novapharm plus” -1 ) The volume of production of privatized products was 1904,538 thousand con. units for the 3447,11 million sums.
The volume of manufacture of a commodity output on first half year results of 2010, including by the basic kinds of production, was 111,8 billion sums (growth rate of 145 %). Thus medicinal production it was for the sum 105 billion sums (rate of growth of 144,6 %).
The volume of manufacture of consumer goods for this period was 108,7 billion sums (rate of growth of 145,4%).
It is anticipated to produce 128, 8 million con. units, including medical preparations on the volume 98,9 million con. units.
High growth rate analogical to previous year will be provided by production of:
-injection preparations-9,9 million packages with the growth rate of211%
-Infusion preparations-11,7 million vials with the growth rate of 182,3%
-tablet preparations-23,9 million packages with the growth rate of 122,9%
-antibiotics dry stream-33,7 million vials with the growth rate of 129,6%
New form of drug id studied and the production is commenced –suppozitor with the volume of 1,3 million packages.
Use of manufacture capacities of medical drugs reached 68,3% during first half year, auxiliary materials- 83,2%. The Concern is anticipating 71,3% of used overall capacity and the growth of 14,6%.
It is anticipated to start production of 31 new medical preparations, 45 positions of 19 pharmacologic groups and 14 titles from LND.
The development for manufacture of 18 new medical products at enterprises (, SE ” Dentafill plus”-8, APA ” Nika Pharm ” – 3, FC “NobelPharmSanoat”-3 SIE “Radiks”-3 and JV “NovoPharm Pluy”-1) was introduced. Volumes of release of again mastered production have made 1 904,5 thousand con. units for the 3,5 billion sums.
Growth of manufacture, both in assortment, and in volumes allows increasing a degree of satisfaction of need of establishments of public health services and the population of republic in the vital medical products.
Expansion of assortment of production and the quality indicators relevant to the international requirements have allowed increasing volume of export of production. Export of production of the enterprises of concern was 846,1 thousand US dollars, while it was forecasted 741,0 thousand dollars (114,2% % to the forecast) or 157,6% to a level of the similar period of the last year. Thus of medical products it is delivered for the sum 528,2 thousand dollar (120,0% % to the forecast) or 62,4% from total amount of export.

Production of the enterprises is exported to such countries, as: Kazakhstan, Kirghizia, Afghanistan, Ukraine, Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Latvia etc.

Investment programs
According to the results of 2010, the enterprises of branch are carried out 13 investment projects. As a whole on it to 13 investment projects, the volume of development of investments was 8158 thousand dollar USA which was 110,1 % contrasting to the forecast.
Within the framework of the Program « About priorities of development of the industry of Republic of Uzbekistan in 2011-2015 years », authorized No PP- 1442 from 15.12.2010 are realized by the Decision of the President of Republic of Uzbekistan of 33 investment projects on a total sum 39,4 million dollars USA on all sources of financing.
IT is forecasted to realize 29 investment projects for the 60,5 million US dollars. According to the set graphic, 19 projects for the 167,45 million US dollars is realizing.
It is anticipating to obtain 12,15 million US Dollars (111,8%), while it is planned to obtain 18,92 million US dollars. The concern is expecting to attract 25,5 million US dollar investment (108,6%), while it is planned to attract 23,84 million US dollars investment.
7 enterprises are expected to over fulfill the plan of obtaining and attracting investments: JV “Ultra Health Care(192,8%), FC LTD “Nobelpharmsanoat”( obtaining 100%, attraction-200%), JV Ltd “SALUBRIS VITA” (151,7), LTD “Novapharm” (150%), JV LTD “ASIA TRADE” (129,9%), SE “NASA” (attraction - 126,7%, obtaining – 190%), SE “Dentafill Plus” (105,6%). JV LTD “Remedy Group” realized investment project ahead of the schedule in first quarter.
Within the framework ” About the Investment program of Republic of Uzbekistan for 2011 ” approved by the decision of the President of Republic of Uzbekistan from 29.12.2010 years No PP – 1455, it is expected realization of 9 investment projects. It is anticipating to obtain 19, 27 million US Dollars (121,6%), while it is planned to obtain 15,84 million US dollars for 1 half year of2011. The concern is expecting to attract 22, 85 million US dollar investment (113, 7%), while it is planned to attract 20,09 million US dollars investment for the first half year.
Creation of new work paces
Within the framework of the program on creation of new workplaces in 2011 the enterprises of concern it is planned to create 211 work places according to the forecast. The enterprises of the concern will create 90 new place in first half year (120% compared to forecast). Also, within the framework of realization of the Program of modernization – 18, Programs of localization - 18, Programs of development of branch - 54 workplaces will be created. As a whole on the enterprises of concern, number employers has increased from 2 160 to 2 677 person at a growth rate of 123, 9%.

Within the framework of the Decision of the Cabinet of Republic of Uzbekistan No 49 « About regulation of import of ready medical products » from 25.02.2011, 15 enterprises of concern (APA ” Nika Pharm “, FC “Nobelpharmsanoat”, LTD “Texnofarm”, Open Society ” O’zkimyofarm “, Open Company ” Galenika “, Open Company ” TashFarm A.I. “, the joint venture ” Samsun-Tashkent Farm “, the joint venture of Open Company ” Remedy Group “, the joint venture of Open Company ” Remedy “, the joint venture of Open Company ” Jurabek Laboratories “, the joint venture of Open Company ” Novopharma plus “, the joint venture of Open Company ” Reka med pharm “, SIE “Radiks”, state of emergency ” Dentafill plyus “, state of emergency ” Pharmed sanoat “) make release import substitute ready medical products on 45 MNN or on 209 TN.
The basic manufacturers import substitute ready medical products are SEI “Radiks” (31 trading name), the joint venture of Open Company ” Remedi ” (25), the joint venture « Jurabek Laboratories » (24) and FC « Nobel Pharmsanoat » (22).
For the accounting period it is made 61,4 million standard units import substitute production (123 % to the forecast), that has allowed to save currency means for the sum of 400 thousand US dollars.

Within the framework of the Decision of the Cabinet of Republic of Uzbekistan No 72 « About measures on realization of technical audit of the process equipment and technologies at the large enterprises and manufactures from 15.03.2011 » in June of the current year at 10 enterprises, including at 7 enterprises which are included in concern (Open Society ” O’zkimyofarm “, the joint venture of Open Company ” Novopharma plus “, the joint venture of Open Company ” Jurabek Laboratories “, SIE “Radiks”, FC “Nobelpharmsanoat”, the joint venture of Open Company ” Reka med pharm “, Open Company ” Galenika “), is carried out technical audit.
